Follow the steps below to set up an ActiveSync (Exchange) account.
1. Launch your Email App
- Open the App drawer on your Android device
- Select Email
2. Add an email account
- If this is the first email account to be configured on your device, you will be provided with a setup screen. If you already have an account then, select Menu / More - Settings - Add Account
- Enter your Shaw email address and password
- Select Manual Setup
- Select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync
- Email address: Your Shaw email address
- Domain/Username*: shaw.causername
- Password: Your Shaw email password
- Exchange Server: wm.shaw.ca
- Use Secure Connection (SSL): Yes (add a check mark)
- Use Client Certificate: No (no check mark)
3. Confirm additional account settings
- Choose sync settings
- Choose account name

- Select Email
2. Add an email account

- Enter your Shaw email address and password
- Select Manual Setup
- Select IMAP Account
3. Verify incoming server settings
- IMAP server: imap.shaw.ca
- Security type: SSL
- Port: 993
- Username: Shaw email without @shaw.ca
- Password: Your email password
4. Verify outgoing server settings
- SMTP server: mail.shaw.ca
- Security type: TLS
- On some devices, this may appear as StartTLS or StartTLS (accept all certificates)
- Port: 587
- Username: Shaw email without @shaw.ca
- Password: Your email password
5. Confirm additional account settings
- Choose sync settings
- Choose account name and display name
